Jason Goggans, Coach & Mentor

I didn’t take the traditional path to leadership coaching. Honestly, I didn’t take a traditional path to anything.

After graduating from the University of Florida, I spent five years as a police officer — learning early what it means to make high-stakes decisions under pressure and lead when it matters most.

I started my first business in 1999 as a side gig.  I was a personal trainer to police officers and other people looking to get into better shape. This is where I fell in love with entrepreneurship.

In 2002, I walked away from law enforcement and bet on myself. I opened my first gym. Then a second, two years later. I sold both in 2008 and opened a third, larger facility — coaching athletes, business owners, and everyday people to perform at levels they didn’t think were possible.

I sold that gym in 2018. Sixteen years of building, leading, and growing businesses had taught me something I couldn’t ignore — the people who came to me for business help didn’t have a strategy problem. They had a leadership problem.

So in 2017 I launched Black Wolf Leadership to do one thing: take everything I’d learned leading real teams in real businesses and pour it into other leaders.

In 2023, that work caught the attention of Chick-fil-A — one of the most respected leadership cultures in the country. They brought me in to coach and consult their teams on leadership and business strategy. I’m still doing that work today, as a Senior Executive Director overseeing two locations — and since stepping into that role, our profitability growth has ranked in the top 7% of all Chick-fil-A locations nationwide.

I’m not coaching from a textbook. I’m coaching from experience — the same decisions, the same pressures, the same leadership gaps you’re navigating right now.

That’s the difference.
